A day at a time

Most people have heard this “line” at some point in their lives. No matter where you grew up or what your background is. Easier said than done. This fast-paced world we live in makes it hard to just stop, think, and take it a day at a time.

Thankfully there are so many resources out there for, basically everything. Everyone wants to teach everything to everybody about all the knowledge they have. Simply keeping it “simple” is refreshing.

On that note, setting up the chick-brooder was a simple learning curve. Tons of information is “out there”. Finally, it was set up and ready for the chicks. I took the route of getting them from the local farmer’s co-op. Knowing that this might be our forever home, kept me enthusiastic about this “new experience to a healthier self-sufficient lifestyle”. Baby steps all the way…

While the planning for the chicks took a lot of “thinking and prepping”, some sown vegetable seeds germinated….Baby steps….trying to worry less about tomorrow and let nature do its thing.
